Back in 2002, renowned bassman, Pitak Srisung, decided to take a break from touring, recording and city life in Bangkok to set up his own music venue with his wife Aeh, on the scenic Andaman coast.
Happy Snapper was born – the first music venue in Khao Lak. During the following two decades, the venue went from strength to strength. Always featuring a top-class house band, plus guest musicians and visiting bands who played with Pitak in the past. Pitak’s reputation attracted international musicians from time to time. Rockers from UK, USA, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and Taiwan have performed on the Happy Snapper stage.
Covid lockdowns put an end to live music in early 2020, and affected the whole tourist industry. During the following months, when it appeared that nothing was going to change for a while, Pitak and Aeh decided to consolidate the music side of their business with their existing resort, Snapper House. And so the Happy Snapper traditions of great music, fine food and hospitality live on.
Pitak & Aeh look forward to welcoming you to their latest project……….The Snapper!
